Centre approves policing project

New Delhi: The government on Friday approved implementation of the Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System project of the MHA at a cost of Rs 3,375 crore during the period from 2022-23 to 2025-26. National Dam Safety Authority formed

New Delhi: The Centre on Friday constituted the much-awaited National Dam Safety Authority and a 22-member National Committee on Dam Safety for the upkeep of dams and management of water resources. The six-member panel will be headed by a chairperson. TNS

Notice to CBI, Maha on Indrani’s plea

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday issued notices to the CBI and the Maharashtra Government on the bail plea of the Sheena Bora murder case prime accused Indrani Mukerjea. Mukerjea is currently lodged at the Byculla women’s prison in Mumbai since her arrest in August 2015. She had been denied bail several times by the special CBI court.
