New Delhi, August 3
Moments after ED sealed the Young Indian office of the Congress party located in Herald House and Delhi police barricaded the area around AICC headquarters, Congress leaders alleged vendetta of the worst form, saying the party was under siege.
“Delhi police have surrounded our headquarters and the homes of Congress president and ex-president. This is the worst form of vendetta politics. We will not submit. We will not be silenced. We will continue to raise our voice against injustices and failures of the Modi Sarkar,” AICC general secretary communications Jairam Ramesh said.
Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlottermed the developments as an unannounced emergency. “The National Herald office has been sealed by force. Congress headquarters and 10 Janpath have been converted into a police camp. There is an undeclaredemergency in the country. If common people do not stand with the Congress against this dictatorial attitude of the NDA government, the country will have to bear the brunt,” said Gehlot.
