Coonoor crash: Bodies of all victims identified

All bodies of those killed with CDS Gen Bipin Rawat in a helicopter crash have been identified. The bodies of Lt Col Harjinder Singh, Naiks Gursewak Singh and Jitendra Kumar and Havildar Satpal were identified after DNA testing. The mortal remains will be released to their families tomorrow.

Earlier, the authorities announced that the bodies of six personnel killed in the crash—Lance Naik Vivek Kumar, Junior Warrant Officer Pradeep, Wing Commander PS Chauhan, Junior Warrant Officer Rana Pratap Das, Lance Naik B Sai Teja and Squadron Leader Kuldeep Singh—had been identified

Initially, only the bodies of General Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and Brigadier Lakhwinder Singh Lidder could be identified. — TNS
