A spurt in casualties due to the deadly coronavirus took the death toll from 35 to 41 in Rajasthan on Sunday.
The deceased included three men and three women who succumbed to the COVID-19 at the government hospitals in Jodhpur and Jaipur, a state medical bulletin said here.
A sixty-year-old woman of Jodhpur suffering from co-morbidity of hypertension, diabetes with nephropathy died at MGH Hospital in Jodhpur.
A fifty-year-old man of Jaipur’s walled city, who was brought dead at SMS in Jaipur yesterday, tested positive today.
Another 55-year-old woman of Jaipur, who was also brought dead to SMS hospital on April 24, tested positive today.
A 29-year-old man admitted to Jaipur’s SMS hospital from Sikar on April 24 had succumbed on the very day and found positive today.
A third woman of 65 years succumbed to the virus at MGH Hospital in Jodhpur this evening. She also suffered co-morbidity of hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
One sixteen-year-old person (sex not classified) of Khergard in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra district died here at the government hospital in the afternoon. The patient was suffering from co-morbidity-GBS/polyneuropathy.
However, despite recording 2152 positive cases as of now, 491 patients have recovered and 234 have been discharged from the hospitals in the state. The virus has covered 28 out of 33 districts in the state.
