Pay relief to kids hit by post-poll violence: NCPCR

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has asked West Bengal to give a compensation of Rs 1 lakh to each child impacted by the post-poll violence in the state.
In a letter to the district magistrate of Cooch Behar, Pawan Kadiyan, the child rights body said children taking refuge in temporary shelter camps in Dhubri in Assam were living in fear after experiencing unprecedented violence.
