10 die as pick-up van overturns in Odisha

odisha: At least 10 people were killed and 15 others hurt after a pick-up van carrying them overturned in Odisha’s Koraput district on Sunday. The accident took place near Murtahandi when a group of 30 persons from neighbouring Chhattisgarh were returning to their village. PTI

Sonu moves SC over construction notice

new delhi: Actor Sonu Sood has moved the Supreme Court challenging the Bombay High Court order which dismissed his appeal against a BMC notice over alleged illegal construction at his residential building in Mumbai’s Juhu area. Sood’s petition stated that his application for conversion has been approved by the Municipal Commissioner subject to Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) permission. PTI
