The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) today said the department had issued income tax refund worth over Rs 47,318 crore to more than 22.61 lakh taxpayers between April 1, 2021, and August 9, 2021.

“The CBDT has issued refund of over Rs 47,318 crore to more than 22.61 lakh taxpayers between April 1, 2021, and August 9, 2021,” the Department tweeted. —TNS
