DSGMC to build memorial at Lakhimpur

New Delhi: The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) on Tuesday said it would purchase land in Lakhimpur Kheri, where four farmers and a journalist were mowed down on October 3, and build a memorial in their honour. The announcement was made at the “antiam ardas” of farmers at Lakhimpur Kheri. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
