Enforcement Directorate gets back Nirav, Choksi jewels weighing 2.3 tonne

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today said it had brought back 108 consignments of various overseas entities of Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi from Hong Kong on Wednesday.
“Value of these goods has been declared to be around Rs 1,350 crore, which include polished diamonds, pearls and silver jewelry and were kept in the warehouse of a logistics company in Hong Kong. These consignments were brought back to Mumbai and all consignments weigh around 2,340 kg,” the ED said in an official statement. The agency had received a credible input in July 2018 that these consignments had been sent to Hong Kong from Dubai in 2018.
