NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 3

India has washed its hands off assurances given to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) by a Pakistani barrister who veered from the script while representing an Indian prisoner and went on to speak on behalf of Indian Deputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case.

“Shahnawaz Noon was clearly told by the High Commission that he had no authority to represent either the Government of India or Jadhav,” the MEA spokesperson said. — TNS
