India is in the process of delivering humanitarian assistance to Sudan, South Sudan, Djibouti and Eritrea in the form of food amid natural calamities and the Covid pandemic, said the MEA.

Navy’s INS Airavat left Mumbai on October 24 for this region with aid consisting of wheat flour, rice and sugar. The ship will depart the Port of Djibouti, where it has unloaded food aid, and will reach Mombasa (Kenya) on November 20 to deliver aid meant for South Sudan. — TNS
