Senior IPS officers MA Ganapathy and Kuldiep Singh have been appointed Director Generals (DGs) of the National Security Guard (NSG) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), respectively.
Ganapathy, a 1986-batch IPS officer of the Uttarakhand cadre, is currently the DG, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security. He has been appointed the DG (NSG) from the date of joining and up to February 29, 2024, (date of his superannuation). Singh, a 1986-batch IPS officer of West Bengal cadre, is the Special DG, CRPF. He will replace AP Maheshwari, who is due to retire on February 28. His new posting will be up to September 30, 2022, an order said. — TNS
