The GST Council will meet on Monday and is likely to discuss the suggestion of non-BJP ruled states for setting up a ministerial panel to develop consensus on the issue of compensation.

The council, chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and comprising state finance ministers, will meet the third time to discuss the issue of funding the shortfall of GST revenue of states. BJP-ruled states have already opted for the borrowing option. — PTI
