Gurdaspur reports first Covid case

Chandigarh: With eight new cases reported over the past 24 hours, the total number of patients has reached 184 in Punjab. Among the new cases, four were reported from Pathankot, two SAS Nagar and one each from Gurdaspur and Jalandhar. Gurdaspur’s first Covid case surfaced at Bhaini Paswal village in Kahnuwan block. The total number of cases in Mohali district has gone up to 56. TNS

2 fresh cases in Haryana

Chandigarh: With two fresh cases, Haryana’s tally reached 188 on Tuesday. A 72-year-old woman in Faridabad and a 40-year-old combine harvester driver in Panipat have tested positive. So far, 41 patients have been discharged and three have died of the infection. TNS

Doctor infected in J&K

Jammu: Eight more persons tested positive for Covid in J&K on Tuesday, taking the total cases to 278. Six have tested positive in Kashmir and two in Jammu, including a doctor and a sanitation worker at a hospital. TNS
