Residents of Hyderabad received the much-needed relief from heat with a downpour today, but at the same time many areas have been submerged. Similar reports have been received from other parts of the state.

Reports said strong gales that accompanied rain uprooted trees at a few places, but brought down temperature significantly.

According to the Weather Department, South Hastinapur received maximum rainfall of 61 mm. Several parts of the city received 20 to 50 mm rainfall.
