Hindu Mahasabha’s national president claims coronavirus is an “angry avatar” that is meant to teach the Chinese a “lesson for torturing animals”.

“Corona is not a virus, but avatar for the protection of poor creatures. They have come to give the message of death and punishment to the one who eats them,” IANS quoted Chakrapani, the National President of All India Hindu Mahasabha, as having said at a time when the world continues to battle the deadly virus amid mounting death toll.

He even drew an analogy with Lord Narsingh taking an avatar to kill a demon with that of Chinese being “taught a lesson” of not “torturing animals and turning vegetarian”, and then went on to claim that the way out of the outbreak is for Chinese premier Xi Jinping to “create an idol of Corona and seek forgiveness”. He also said all non-vegetarian Chinese populace should “pledge of not harming any innocent creatures in future, then the anger if Corona will come down”. He then topped off the bizarre statement by saying that if the Chinese said follow his prescription, the “avatar” will “return to its world”.

He also assured “God-worshipping and Gau Raksha believer Indians” that they would be immune to coronavirus.
