Shimla: The reports of all 17 persons tested for Covid-19 on Tuesday were negative, leaving the state with only one positive case. Additional Chief Secretary RD Dhiman said the reports of all 17 persons whose samples were tested at Tanda Medical College, Kangra, and IGMC, Shimla, were negative. So far 229 persons have been tested, out of whom three tested positive, including a Tibetan who died last week due to the virus. A chef from Singapore who belongs to Kangra was discharged after treatment on Monday. He had tested positive along with a 63-year-old woman from the Shahpur area of Kangra, who is still under treatment at Tanda. Now, the state has only one positive case, besides the one death last week. A total of 3,396 persons have been kept under surveillance. Of them, 1,168 persons have completed the mandatory 28-day quarantine period. tns
