A young boy died tragically after his father ran him over in Hyderabad’s LB Nagar on Sunday, news portal News Minute said in its report.

A video of the incident from a security camera at the apartment building shows Laxman---a security guard at the apartment building where they were staying---head over to an SUV parked in front of the building and get into the driver’s seat and two boys follow him outside. The video shows the youngest of the two children, 4-year-old Sathvik, station himself in front of the vehicle that had by then begun to move.

The video shows the child coming under the SUV’s wheels and the father, realising what had happened, stopping the vehicle, getting out in a panic, picking up the child, and running back into the apartment complex.

Sathvik was critically wounded in the incident and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, which declared him dead, News Minute reported.

The LB Nagar police are investigating the incident, the report said.
