Hyderabad student falls to death in Toronto

Hyderabad, November 10

A Hyderabad student lost his life after falling from a high-rise building in Toronto, Canada.

A resident of Vanasthalipuram in Hyderabad, Panyam Akhil (19) died after he fell from the balcony of the 27th floor while talking on phone.

His friends in Canada informed the family about the mishap, which took place on November 8. Akhil was doing a hotel management course in Canada.

After completing the course’s first year, he came home in March and returned to Canada after the lockdown eased. Akhil’s family has appealed to Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao to help bring the body to Hyderabad.

Rao, Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president, assured all assistance to the family.

The Consulate General in Toronto tweeted, “The Indian Consulate in Toronto is in touch with all concerned and efforts are on for expeditious return of the mortal remains.”
