IIT Madras startup develops smart dustbin

New Delhi: ‘Antariksh’, an IIT-incubated startup, has developed a “smart bin system” to prevent the spread of Covid-19 through waste generated at hospitals, clinics, public places and quarantine zones. Called AirBin, the system developed by the institute enables remote monitoring of the levels of the waste accumulation through the use of smart phones. PTI

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
