Three members of a Lashkar networking team based in Mahore area of Reasi distric have been arrested for bid to revive terrorism in Reasi district and certain parts of the Kashmir Valley.

Schoolteacher Ghulam Hussain, Abdul Aziz and Ishfaq Ahmed, all residents of Reasi, were in touch with their handler Mohammad Qasim, who crossed over to PoK in 2002.

An FIR was been registered and an SIT set up for further investigation, said Rashmi Wazir, Reasi SSP.

“While checking their back accounts, we detected benami transactions.They were trying to lure family members of former terrorists”, she said. “They were also trying to establish a network of over ground workers (OGWs) to provide logistic support to LeT terrorists for infiltration,” said another police source.

This is the second LeT network busted in Jammu within a month.
