India gets chairmanship of ILO governing body
new delhi: After a gap of 35 years, India has assumed the Chairmanship of the governing body of International Labour Organisation (ILO). Apurva Chandra, Secretary, Labour and Employment, has been elected Chairperson of the ILO governing body for the period from October 2020 to June 2021. At present, the ILO has 187 members. Chandra will preside over the forthcoming meeting of the ILO governing body in November 2020. — TNS
