Indian blogger Santoshi Shetty offers 'therapy' for Rs 1500; takes post down after massive outrage

An Indian fashion blogger, Santoshi Shetty, who also runs the fashion blog ‘The Style Edge’ has been receiving severe backlash online after sharing a video where she was allegedly offered therapy.
As the nation is still processing the sudden death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput—which would mean recommending people for therapy with actual therapists—it saw unqualified people offering therapy in order to make a quick buck.
Shetty stated that would be “there” for people for a nominal price of Rs 1,500.
Netizens were not happy with this.
Shetty took down the clip after the backlash, and apologised, saying that “for not clarifying that it was never meant as a substitute for Mental Health therapy sessions.” She further explained her intentions as “creating a community” where people could “grow together spiritually.”
She also apologized for trying to monetize it, saying “it sends a message I didn’t intend to send.”

This comes at a time when conversations about mental health are being actively pursued in the social media space. With the vast amount of information available, a well read person still fails to register how sensitive mental health is and how one needs years of training.
