The country’s first indigenously made aircraft carrier INS Vikrant that had set out on its maiden sea trials on August 4 today returned to its home port at Kochi. “The trials progressed as planned and system parameters proved satisfactory,” the Defence Ministry said on Sunday. The carrier would continue to undergo series of sea trials to check all systems prior to handing over the vessel to the Navy. — TNS
