Court remands Jain in judicial custody

New Delhi: A local court on Monday sent Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain to judicial custody in a money laundering case. Earlier, Jain was in ED’s custody. Special Judge Geetanjli Goel posted Jain’s bail application for hearing for Tuesday. The 57-year-old AAP leader was arrested on May 30 under the PMLA. TNS

Five killed in Andhra road accident

Hyderabad: Five persons died after a bus overturned in Alluri Sitarama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday. The private bus was on its way to Vijayawada from Chinnapally in Odisha. Besides the five dead, many of the 60 passengers travelling on the bus were injured. TNS

Kaumudi appointed as Secy (Security)

New Delhi: The government on Monday appointed IPS officer VSK Kaumudi as Secretary (Security) in the Cabinet Secretariat. The 1986-batch officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre is posted as Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the MHA.
