Hours before the first phase of Bihar poll, LJP president Chirag Paswan attacked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over corruption, claiming that “jail is the right place” for him.

“It is unbelievable that Kumar wasn’t involved in any scam,” Paswan said, an observation that earned criticism from several BJP leaders.

In retaliation, the Chief Minister said some people were “acting at the behest of their advisers” and attacking him, referring to Prashant Kishor.

“We are concerned about nepotism,” an apparent reference to the LJP chief and JD-U’s Tejashwi Yadav.
