A Jaipur designer has made a special collection of tea set and dinner service for the use of US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania during their stay at ITC (Maurya) Hotel in New Delhi.
Arun’s Group, the company entrusted with the task to design gold- and silver-plated serve-ware for visit of America’s first couple, said it took them two weeks to make what they call “The Trump Collection”. The company’s CEO Arun Pabuwal said that the company used a wide variety of non-ferrous metal for the dinner service, and then coated it with pure gold and silver.
The specially crafted collection includes plates, bowls, spoons, forks, glasses, a tissue paper holder, fruit trays, juice mugs, sweet trays, and tea sets, among other things.
This is the third time when the state has enlisted the services of Pabuwal’s company for designing exclusive serve-ware for the personal use of a visiting US president—the company previously designed exclusive table services for Barack Obama during his visit in 2010 and then in 2015.
American President Trump is on an official state to India on February 24 and 25. This visit is the first time the US president is visiting the country since his election in 2016. The visit is also significant because it comes toward the end of Trump’s presidency.
