JEE-Mains: 24 score a perfect 100

Twenty-four candidates have scored a perfect 100 in the JEE-Mains while the result of five students has been withheld for using unfair means, according to the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Among the 24 are Sarthak Maheshwari from Haryana and Mrinal Garg from Punjab. The cumulative result of two sessions of the JEE-Mains was declared today. The maximum candidates who have scored 100 NTA scores are from Andhra Pradesh (five) and Telangana (five) followed by Rajasthan (four). Two candidates from Uttar Pradesh and one each from Haryana, Maharashtra, Assam, Bihar, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka and Jharkhand have scored a perfect 100. The NTA did not announce a merit list.
“Over 10.26 lakh candidates had registered for the two sessions of the exam, while 9.05 lakh candidates had appeared. Over 4.04 lakh candidates had appeared for both sessions,” a senior NTA official said.
The examination was conducted at 622 examination centres in 440 cities, including 17 cities outside India in Manama, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, Kuwait City, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos/Abuja, Colombo, Jakarta, Vienna, Moscow, Port Louis and Bangkok.
