Lt Gen Raj Shukla is UPSC member

New Delhi, July 18

Lt Gen Raj Shukla (retd), who has served as Commander of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) headquartered in Shimla, has been appointed member of the Union Public Service Commission. He retired in March.

Commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in December 1982, Lieutenant General Shukla commanded X Corps headquartered at Bathinda.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
