Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray allocates portfolios

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray allocated portfolios to his ministers from the Shiv Sena, NCP and the Congress party.
While the Shiv Sena has retained key portfolios like Home, Urban Development, Industry, Forests and Environment, the NCP which is the second-largest party in the alliance has got Rural Development, Water
Resources, Finance, Housing and Health, Cooperatives, Food and Civil Supplies.
The Congress has been given Higher and Technical Education, Revenue, School and Medical Education and PWD.
Thackeray presently has a six-member Cabinet with two ministers from each of the three parties.
According to sources here, the portfolios will be further distributed among ministers selected by the respective parties as per the agreement between them at the time of forming the coalition government.
