In a major infrastructure push in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 296-km-long Bundelkhand Expressway on Saturday.
Will boost connectivity
- Four-lane expressway has been constructed at a cost of nearly Rs 14,850 cr
- It will boost connectivity and industrial development in the largely backward region
The foundation stone of the expressway was laid by the Prime Minister in February, 2020.

The push for connectivity and infrastructure began with a massive budgetary allocation of Rs 1.99 lakh crore to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in the Union Budget of 2022-23, which was the highest-ever allocation.
