In a major infrastructure push in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 296-km-long Bundelkhand Expressway on Saturday.

Will boost connectivity

  • Four-lane expressway has been constructed at a cost of nearly Rs 14,850 cr
  • It will boost connectivity and industrial development in the largely backward region

The foundation stone of the expressway was laid by the Prime Minister in February, 2020.

The four-lane expressway has been constructed at a cost of nearly Rs 14,850 crore and will provide a boost to connectivity and industrial development in the largely backward region.

The push for connectivity and infrastructure began with a massive budgetary allocation of Rs 1.99 lakh crore to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in the Union Budget of 2022-23, which was the highest-ever allocation.
