Hasam Salim Surani flew down from Dubai with 461.1 gram of gold concealed in a dessert maker machine kept in his trolley bag. It was seized on Monday night, they said.

Surani, a resident of Gujarat, told the customs officials that he belongs to a very poor family and that an unknown person in Dubai had handed him over the machine to be delivered to someone outside Jaipur airport.

The accused also told officials that he was paid Rs 1,000, in addition to the airfare to travel from Dubai to Jaipur. PTI
