Seven more Pakistan cricketers have tested positive for the coronavirus, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced today. The players are Fakhar Zaman, Imran Khan, Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan and Wahab Riaz. This takes the number of infected players to 10. Haris Rauf, Haider Ali and Shadab Khan had tested positive on yesterday.

At least three of them were expected to tour England, for which the team is leave on June 28.

Ten days ago, former captain Shahid Afridi had become the third Pakistani cricketer to test positive for Covid-19. Before that, former opener Taufeeq Umar had contracted the virus. Zafar Sarfraz, a former First-Class cricketer who died of the disease, was the first. — TNS, agencies
