The Narcotics Control Bureau, which is currently probing an alleged drug case in Bollywood, raided the residence of Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash on Tuesday. The agency has allegedly found small quantities of drugs during the raid. Reports suggested that a summon was sent to Karishma but since there was no reply from her side, the raid was conducted.

Earlier, in September, Karishma was questioning by NCB after a Whatsapp chat of hers, allegedly discussing drugs, surfaced during the investigation.

In a statement, an NCB official said, “Karishma Prakash’s name cropped up during the questioning of one of the peddlers arrested by us in the case in which we are looking to bust drug networks around Bollywood. Based on the information, we raided her residence today (October 27). We found 1.7 grams of charas and at least two bottles of CBD oil.”

The official said at the time of the raid, Karishma was not at home and the search was carried out in the presence of her acquaintances. “We have called her for questioning tomorrow (October 28) to NCB office, however, her phone has been switched off and we do not know where she is.”
