Newborn detected with Covid dies in Palghar

Palghar: A girl detected with Covid infection some hours after birth in Palghar district in Maharashtra died on Sunday morning while undergoing treatment, health officials said. The child was born premature and underweight on May 30 in Saphale and was detected with Covid-19, while the mother, from Darsheth village here, had tested negative, they said. PTI

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
