Nirbhaya: Curative plea of convict Pawan in SC today

Rajasthan activist honoured for opposing child marriages

Jaipur: Rajasthan’s rehabilitation psychologist Dr Kriti Bharti, who has been fighting against child marriages, has been chosen among world’s top 10 activists by the TAFFD magazine of the US for her outstanding contribution to the social and emotional category. Kriti has been honoured and recogined for her efforts towards supporting human rights and annulment and prevention of child marriages. Even after facing threats and obstacles, Kriti has managed to get around 40 child marriages annulled till date. Apart from it, she has prevented thousands of child marriages. OC

Uddhav’s wife Rashmi is Saamana editor

Mumbai: Rashmi Thackeray, wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, has been named as the Editor of Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana. The announcement was made in the Sunday edition of the newspaper by its publisher Rajendra M Bhagwat and other trustees Subhash R Desai and Liladhar B Dake. Saamna and its Hindi evening edition Dophara Ka Saamana apart from weekly Marmik are published by Prabodhan Prakashan, which has been structured as a trust. TNS
