Hyderabad: Now, women can carry pepper spray with them while travelling in city metro. NVS Reddy, MD, Hyderabad Metro, announced that the decision was taken after receiving requests from women. With this, Hyderabad becomes the second city after Bengaluru to allow women to carry pepper spray for personal safety. He clarified that the permission has been granted keeping in mind the anxiety among women after the brutal rape and murder of a veterinary doctor. TNS
