Informal group of MPs to check kids’ access to porn
New Delhi, December 3
An informal group of Rajya Sabha MPs set up to deal with challenges of regulating access of children to Internet pornography expressed concern over the generation of online Child Sexual Abused Materials and drew a list of stakeholders to be consulted.
At its first meeting on Monday, the 14-member group, formed at the suggestion of Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu, decided on the stakeholders to be consulted, which include civil society groups, experts, parent groups, government agencies like Computer Emergency Response Team.
The group would also interact with law enforcement agencies and regulators like TRAI and WhatsApp etc, Rajya Sabha sources said. — TNS
