Jaipur: A Rajasthan cop has innovated a full body walk-in sanitising chamber for Covid-19 warriors, including medics, cops and others. This is fog mist sprayer using an anolyte solution (a saline with natural herbs) which is a powerful disinfectant against bacteria and virus. Built at a cost of Rs 20,000 with the help of a local fabricator, anyone can walk in or drive in a two-wheeler to get sanitised with a spray of Tulsi, Neem, and other natural herbs, says Brij Bhushan Agrawal, SHO, Bagru, Jaipur-West. Italian physicist pens book on coronavirus

New Delhi: Italian physicist and novelist Paolo Giordano has used his self quarantine period to come out with a book in which he focuses on other forms of contagion linked to Covid-19 - fake news, environmental crisis, nationalism and xenophobia, and lack of solidarity in an increasingly complex world. In “How Contagion Works: Science, Awareness and Community in Times of Global Crises”, Giordano explains how disease spreads in our interconnected world, why it matters, how it impacts us and how we must react. Odisha govt starts online quiz to engage people

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha transport department on Saturday introduced an online quiz competition on road safety in an effort to keep people engaged during the lockdown and the state-imposed total shutdown in three cities. The initiative by the State Transport Authority will continue till the end of the 21-day lockdown and 48-hour shutdown in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Bhadrak. The names of five winners will be announced every day and they will get Rs1,000 each. PTI

SRK offers office to BMC for quarantine centre

Mumbai: Actor Shah Rukh Khan has offered his four-storeyed office building to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for turning that into a quarantine facility. Mumbai's civic body made the announcement on its Twitter handle on Saturday. “Stronger together. We thank Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan for offering their four-storey personal office space to help expand our quarantine capacity equipped with essentials for quarantined children, women and elderly. Indeed a thoughtful and timely gesture! Anything for Mumbai. Na to corona!” the BMC said in its tweet. TNS
