Rajasthan reports four coronavirus deaths, 381 new cases

Rajasthan reported four more deaths from coronavirus and 381 more cases—developments that take the COVID-19 case count to 14,537 with 337 deaths.

Bharatpur reported two of the four deaths and Jaipur reported one a medical bulletin showed. The last death was a person from another state. The infection tally 14,537.

Bharatpur recorded the most cases at 71. Jodhpur (56) , Jaipur (44), Dholpur (40), Churu (18), Sirohi (18), Jaisalmer (15), Karauli (14), Dungarpur (12), Jalore (12), Jhalawar (12), Rajsamand (11), Bikaner (11),  Barmer (8), Udaipur (7), Sawaimadhopur (6), Pali (5), Sikar (4), Bhilwara (4), Kota (3), Nagaur (3), Jhunjhunu (1), Chittorgarh (1), Tonk (1),  Alwar (1), and other state (3) made up the rest on Saturday’s count.

Of those infected, 11274 have been recovered—11039 of those released from hospitals across the state.

Rajasthan has 2,926 COVID-19 active cases.

The bulletin showed that 4,180 of those infected in the state were migrants.

The breakup of the death toll is as follows: Jaipur (145), Jodhpur (30), Bharatpur (28), Kota (19),  Ajmer (13),  Nagaur (10), Pali (8), Bikaner (7), Chittorgarh (6),  Sikar (5), Sawaimadhopur (5),  Sirohi (5), Baran (4), Karauli (4), Alwar (3),  Dholpur (3), Bhilwara (3), Jalore (2), Dausa (2),  Banswara (2), Udaipur (2), Barmer (2), Churu (2), Rajsamand (1),  Pratapgarh (1), Jhunjhunu (1), Sriganganagar (1), and Tonk (1),  and 22 from neighbouring states.

Private hospital’s rate on COVID-19 tests fixed

In a respite to patients, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has put a cap for COVID-19 treatment, tests and ventilator use for serious patients.

Private hospitals cannot charge more than Rs 2,200 for COVID-19 test, Rs 2,000 for general bad per day, and Rs 4,000 for ICU with ventilator use per day, the CM ordered during a routine review meeting late on Friday night.
