RSS workers told to lead by example

New Delhi, March 25

In his Vikram Samvat (Hindu New Year) address, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has told the cadres to continue the Sangh work keeping in mind the pandemic. Social distancing is important in the battle against coronavirus, he said, asking swayamsevaks to resolve to fight it and lead by example by following social discipline.

Meanwhile, the first day of the lockdown coincided with the new Vikram Samvat and other festivals — Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Cheti Chand, Navreh and Sajibu Cheiraoba. President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and the Prime Minister greeted people on the occasion, hoping the auspicious day would bring good health, happiness and prosperity besides urging everyone to follow guidelines to fight Covid with full determination. — TNS
