Akhilesh equates farmers’ killing with Jallianwala

Lakhimpur/Pilibhit: SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday equated the mowing down of farmers in UP’s Lakhimpur Kheri with the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and said on coming to power, his government would act against people shielding perpetrators of the crime. PTI

A special court sentenced to death 38 members of terror group Indian Mujahideen in the Ahmedabad serial blasts.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur produced a photograph in which the father of one of the convicts was seen with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav to allege SP’s “connections” with the blasts perpetrators.

“The BJP has always had zero tolerance for terrorism, whereas the SP stands with those involved in terror activities,” he added. —
