Supreme Court: Decide man’s plea for daughter’s extradition from Afghanistan

The Supreme Court on Monday asked the Centre to take a call on the representation of a Kerala man seeking direction for extradition of his daughter Sonia and minor granddaughter from Afghanistan.

The woman, currently lodged in Afghanistan’s Pul-e-Charkhi jail, is being probed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for certain charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for allegedly hatching a conspiracy with her husband and others to propagate ISIS terror ideology in waging war against Asiatic nations.
