The Supreme Court has reserved its verdict on petitions challenging the UGC circular mandating university examinations for final-year students by September 30.

After the conclusion of arguments by the counsels representing the petitioners and the UGC, a Bench asked the parties to file their written notes within three days. The top court — which had earlier refused to stay the UGC circular — will decide whether there should be a final examination for degree students across the country or not. — TNS
