New Delhi: Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra was on Monday appointed the next Chief Election Commissioner, the Law Ministry said. Chandra will assume charge on April 13 and demit office on May 14, 2022. — TNS

President discharged after bypass surgery

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind was on Monday discharged from AIIMS days after he underwent a successful cardiac bypass surgery there. In a tweet, the President posted pictures of him taking leave of doctors. — TNS
