New Delhi: Defying party’s call to abstain from voting, rebel TMC Lok Sabha members Shishir Adhikari and Dibyendu Adhikari, father and younger brother, respectively, of BJP leader and West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, cast their vote. Sudip Bandyopadhyay, Leader of the TMC in the Lok Sabha, had earlier petitioned the Speaker to disqualify Shishir Adhikari for “defecting” to the BJP. —TNS
