Teacher held for sexually assaulting minors

Hyderabad, December 17

The Telangana Police have arrested a 40-year-old school headmaster in the Bhadradri Kothagudem district for allegedly sexually abusing five schoolgirls aged six-to-10 years.

The accused would invite children to the school on the pretext of teaching them so that they did not waste the academic year on account of Covid. He then forced them to watch pornographic content before sexually assaulting them.

Earlier this month, one of the victims fell ill and was taken to hospital where she told her mother about the sexual assault.

“The accused has been booked and arrested for sexual assault on minor girls,” DSP Sunil Dutt said.
