Accusing the Ashok Gehlot government of doing appeasement politics in Rajasthan, the BJP on Wednesday said the NIA would investigate who is supporting such activities in the state.

Killers were provided police protection while Kanhaiya's pleas were ignored, BJP spokesperson Rajyavardhan Rathore said accusing the state government of giving a free run to Islamist radical elements.

Recounting other incidents in the state, Rathore said the state government is trying to label the killing as a mutual fight. "When Kanhaiya complained to the police, he was arrested. Rather, the brothers of the killers were given police protection," Rathore said, accusing the Congress government of "shielding radical elements" in Rajasthan.

"This is not the first such incident in the state; several cases have been reported from the state in the past three and a half years,” Rathore said.
