Union Minister Shripad Naik meets with accident; wife dies in hospital

New Delhi, January 11
In a tragic incident, Union Minister Shripad Naik who was travelling in the car met with an accident and his wife Vijaya Naik died in the hospital this evening.
The car in which they were travelling turned turtle at Hosakambi village of Ankola taluk in Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka.
They were travelling from Yallpura to Gokarna.
His wife met with serious injuries and died in the hospital, while three others including minister Shripad Naik had minor injuries.
Shripad Naik has been shifted to Goa Government Medical College. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Goa CM to ensure the best possible treatment for Naik.
