Gun seizure: Customs Dept writes to NIA

New Delhi: The Customs Department, which recently made a seizure of 45 hand guns at the IGI airport here, has written to the National Investigation Agency to look into the case, officials said. Since the NIA is mandated to investigate terrorism related cases, the officials said, the probe agency is requested to look into this case to ascertain whether there is any suspected terror conspiracy. Rahul attacks Centre over falling rupee

New Delhi: As the rupee almost touched the Rs 80 mark against the dollar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a jibe at the PM, who as Gujarat CM, had attacked the UPA government for the falling rupee. He said: “You once said the country is in the throes of crisis. Today, your silence is proportional to the noise you made at that time, as you are mute while the rupee is depreciating rapidly.”
